It is factory rated at 150 watts but has the capability of being modified to handle 2kw plus.The main tuning components are a motor driven Jennings CVCJ-1000 5kv vacuum variable capacitor and a motor driven 24 µH edge wound 20 amp variable inductor (See details on this inductor under the Variable Inductor section of this site).You be the judge! It is designed to operate with Scientific Radio's SR-380 transceiver on the RS-422 bus but should be able to be modified (we hope) to operate with a small home-made control box. We can provide full "Theory Of Operation" specifications prior to purchase for your perusal. 28 vdc @ 7 amps required but motors will run on 8-12 vdc. Designed to use 8' to 75' radiator.Our units were completed and tested at the factory. Gear motors that operate the vacuum cap were robbed for spare parts so we have priced them accordingly.
