24 vac (50/60 Hz) operated motor is used in the SRS Antenna Couplers to tune inductors, switches and vacuum caps. Healthy torque manages any component in their line. 70 rpm at 24 vac 60 Hz, with full rated load. Lower voltage to lower speed also decreases torque. Double 1/4" shaft exits each side of gearbox. Mounts by threaded post sockets on front spaced in a 1-9/16" square. Max dimensions 3-3/4" high x 2-7/8" wide x 3-1/2" deep from mounting posts to electrical terminals on back.

Suitable for almost any remote tuning application of a vacuum cap, rotary inductor or ceramic switch.

High end, Military grade Coil and Capstan Style Variable Inductor. Operation similar to Collins 180L-1 antenna tuner's inductor which is used in the Bliss Match Master. Silver plated beryllium copper band is wound from insulated core to silver plated shorting capstan core. The difference between this type of variable inductor and a "roller inductor" is that there are no unused windings hanging in the circuit like you have on the back side of a roller coil. The unused windings all short out to the silver drum, presenting a perfect coil to the RF circuit. In a balanced tuner, you will need two of these coils and they should be driven together, in tandem, with a timing belt to a gear motor.Add a vacuum cap that we can also help with and an enclosure, gear motors (https://www.surplussales.com/Motors/Motors-1.html) and misc parts and you will have one heck of a tuner. Or add our turns counters ( https://www.surplussales.com/ShaftHardware/ShaftH-1.html) for a manual set up. Granted the 150µH is excessive for wire Vee antennas in the ham bands but this was originally designed for a mobile whip requiring mucho inductance. Factory power rating is 150 watts but I will add the ribbon is larger than the one used in the Collins 180S-1. Users of the Bliss Match Master swear they use their tuner on legal limit amps with no problem... ever!The fact is two-thirds of the coil will probably not be used. End stop switches are mounted and provisions to mount a ten-turn pot for indicator circuitry are included.
